At Sage Taekwon-Do we carry out testing twice per year, in the Spring and Fall. Students are invited to test for their next belt or stripe when the instructors deem they are ready. This way, our students have a high pass rate – you only test if we believe you have already met the requirements! The exam consists of an oral knowledge test, a fitness component, physical displays of patterns, fundamental movements with and without targets, and self defence. Testing requirements can be downloaded from this page, so students can review anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that many of the knowledge questions do NOT need to be memorized exactly word-for-word. We value understanding over rote memorization and everyone is welcome to answer in their own words. If you don’t understand the question or concept our instructors are always happy to help – just ask! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
